  Went there for an allergic reaction, they gave me a steroid, a breathing treatment, (which I told them I could do at home as my son has asthma and I have the exact same medication), antihistamine, wrote me prescriptions and observed me for 30 minutes. Upon checkout they told me I had not met by deductible with BCBS and that the bill was $1149. I even asked to make sure I would not get another bill and she re-assured me I would not. I just received another bill for $1800 more. It is unethical and immoral to charge $3000 for a 45 minute incident. Would not even give me an itemized bill for services rendered. Had to call an out of state billing service and said they would mail me one in 30 days. Our medical system is broken and this ER is a big part of the problem. I pay over $2300 a month for insurance for my family and was treated and billed as if I had no insurance. Sad to be sick or hurt in America these days, even with expensive insurance.
